O‘ahu Pendantcirca 2000 Sterling silver While living on the mainland after college, I was feeling homesick and made myself a tiny Oahu to hang around my neck. The hammered silver brings to mind the ocean and how the choppy waves reflect sun at all angles, and give the piece a feel similar to a hand carved object that might have been found in old Hawaii.
and eventually decided to fashion the decorative links of the chain after a closed version the symbol for the ecliptic
the only pictures I have are of the ner tamid hanging against the backdrop of my back yard (which is shamefully overgrown as I completely gave up yard maintenance while I was working to complete the sculpture)
Despite the prongs
These heliconia earrings have been cast in 14k rose gold to match the dominantly red color of the plant's inflorescence
